Site Updates: August 2025

Hello again to another site update post!

The kids are back in school, I’m a year older, and I’ve been working on things in between the madness. This month I focused on adding more informational content to pages around the site. I also realized I was behind on adding different language editions of Unico: Awakening, so you’ll see a handful of those as well. It’s important for me to add all versions to the site because there are people from all around the world looking for more information on Unico, and if they wander in looking for the new series, they may be interested to learn about the original as well. Who doesn’t enjoy learning more about a character and series they love?

Several of you want to know more about Unico: Lost, and I promise I’ll write a post about it soon. In fact, I already have a partially written draft sitting here waiting for me to add more. Although nothing has been publicly released about the third volume, the online blurbs help describe the original chapter it is based on. Because the new series is a retelling, the characters and plot could differ greatly from the original manga, and I’m often afraid of confusing people. Therefore, I’ve been waiting for more to be revealed.

I wasn’t able to add to the Merchandise Museum this month, so this will be a shorter update post. I’ll try my best to add some more goodies next month!

– Added Unico: Probuzení, the Czech edition of Unico: Awakening, to the Unico: Awakening Related Publications page. This book is coming out on September 1, 2025!

– Added Unico: Prebudenie, the Slovak edition of Unico: Awakening, to the Unico: Awakening Related Publications page. This book is coming out on September 30, 2025!

– Added یونیکو : بیداری (Yoniko: Bidari), the Persian edition of Unico: Awakening, to the Unico: Awakening Related Publications page. Hope I translated the names and dates correctly.

– Added יוניקו: התעוררות (Yoniku: Hitorerot), the Hebrew edition of Unico: Awakening, to the Unico: Awakening Related Publications page. Similar to the Persian edition, hopefully I translated the names correctly.

– Added some production information to the Korean Language version of the first Unico film. This includes the director, translator, etc.

– Added the missing cover images for Lyrica Magazine. Covers for issues 18, 19, 21, 22, 23, 24, 25, 26, 27, 28, and 29 were added. While chapters of Unico weren’t in all issues, at least you can see what the covers looked like.

– To prepare for more manga character profiles, I’ve added a majority of the missing images for the Lyrica Manga Characters page. Only a few characters are missing. Will try finishing up their profile pages soon. I’m also hoping to start the First Grader version soon. The reason I haven’t is becaus there are plenty of characters and 43 chapters/episodes.

– Updated a few Character Profiles with images and fixed various grammatical and punctuation errors for the following pages: Unico, Akuma-kun, Baron Ghost, Chao/Chloe, Sphinx. More to come soon!

– Added a Cookie Policy and Privacy Policy page to the site. While I’m not collecting anyone’s information, I use Google Analytics, WordPress, Newsletter, etc which do. Just wanted visitors to be aware. Visiting the site will now also show a cookie pop-up to alert visitors.
