Welcome back to another site update post!

Hope you had a pleasant month! We hosted Thanksgiving at our place, and I think I spent a week cleaning and making food for everyone. I’ve eaten so many deviled eggs. Mmm! And even though we’re getting deeper into the busy holiday season, I’ve added a handful of updates to the site, which include a new translation and a few other things. Speaking of updates, did you see the cover of the Japanese edition of Unico: Awakening? Super cute! I’d love that as a poster or wall scroll.

December is a super busy month, but I’ll do my best to have updates. I’m currently job searching as well, so I may be a little more preoccupied than usual. It was a little surprising to have my work hours cut in half, but it’s happening all over. Thankfully, the company I work for is cutting hours at the beginning of the year instead of the holiday season, but I know not everyone is so lucky.

Xellis: Ugh… Unico… I need to search for a job, but my tummy hurts from eating too many deviled eggs…
Unico: That’s your own fault.

Putting my personal stuff aside, I’m looking forward to all the Unico news and goodies that will come out next year. Since 2026 marks the 50th anniversary of Unico, I’m sure there will be plenty going on. There’s still an explosion of people coming to the site seeking Unico: Lost information from across the globe. Hope we hear some updates soon. I assume there’s a release schedule for everything Unico-related from companies like Scholastic and Tezuka Productions, so hopefully fans don’t have to wait much longer.

Anyway, I’ve rambled long enough. Check out the updates below!

– Finished editing the translation of the mini-article/interview from the September 1978 issue of Monthly Manga Shounen in the Articles and Interviews section. This interview includes producer Susumu Aketagawa and director Toshio Hirata talking about the pilot film, Unico Black Cloud and White Feather. As with most interviews and blurbs, I’ve included the English translation and the Japanese text. There are also a few images from the article that some may find interesting, including Venus’s son Eros, who didn’t make the cut.

– Realized I did not link Unico: Prebudenie, the Slovak language version of Unico: Awakening, to the Unico: Awakening Related Publications page, so that is now fixed.

– On that note, also added Unico: Prebudenie to the Slovak Language page in the new manga section.

– The Japanese edition of Unico: Awakening was revealed, and so I’ve added the information and cover to the Unico: Awakening Related Publications. The title is Unico: Hoshi no Kizuna, and it appears after the Kickstarter version.

I know I haven’t been making many updates to this area of the site, but I am working on reorganizing it. While I’m not able to capture every aspect of Unico merchandise, there are areas I can focus on and improve upon. I’m hoping to get the changes up and running soon!

– Added the Tezuka Osamu Character Machiboke Figure to the Gashapon/Capsule Figure page of the Figures. This figure was released this month.

– Added the Kenelephant Unico figures to the Figure page. These figures will be released in January.

※ A quick reminder for those visiting this site. I’m a fan of Osamu Tezuka’s work and focus on the Unico series. I enjoy researching and sharing information, but I won’t upload any full comics, movies, soundtracks, or similar content. You will find only information and news on this site, but never hesitate to contact us if you’re looking for something specific that I may help you with.
