Site Updates: January 2026

Hello, Unico fans! How is 2026 treating you so far?

I’ve been busy putting together the fan posts for February and hope you all enjoy! Thank you to everyone who took part. It’s always great to see fans come together and share their love and appreciation. Fan posts are scheduled for Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, beginning the first week of February (February 2nd, 4th, and 6th)! At the end of the month, I’ll have a post linking to all the submissions to make it easier for those visiting the site to see them. If everyone enjoys seeing these types of posts, I can always do more in the future. I’d also love to try other types of posts, like interviews or different spotlights, but we’ll see!

My focus was on the anniversary posts for January, but I managed a few updates to the site. I’m still reworking the Merchandise Museum behind the scenes, which is why there aren’t many updates, especially with 70s/80s Sanrio goods. There are so many products of Unico, so I have to reorganize and figure out what to include. It certainly takes a while!

I’m excited for you all to see the fan posts next month! In the meantime, check out the updates below and I’ll see you next month!

– Added the Tezuka Osamu World Amazon link (US) to the Unico Related Links page. The page sells several clothing items featuring Tezuka characters, including several Unico designs. You could wear Unico dressed up as a fruit!

– Updated features to help optimize the site’s overall performance, reliability, and security. This allows the site to function better for those visiting and to wrangle bad sources (bots, spam crawlers, AI trainers, etc.).

– Created placeholders for the latest Wonder Festival figures in the Figures section. Their individual pages will be up soon.

– Added the Ravex Trax CD + DVD album to the Unico Blu-rays and DVDs. Including this DVD because Unico appears briefly in the animation.
