d.o.a.t. Unico Garage Kits

d.o.a.t. (@doat_doat) creates garage kits (or resin kits) and figures from several series. Some of his popular designs include Unico, Mako Mankanshoku (from Kill la Kill), and several more. All Unico figures are based on Osamu Tezuka’s original illustrations. d.o.a.t.’s kits were only sold in Japan during certain events.

Unico Garage Kit 2013

First sold at Treasure Festa 10 in 2013, this kit features Unico sitting with his hoof up. It would continue to be sold at Treasure Festa and Wonder Festivals throughout the years. He’s around 150mm.

Original price was 8000 Yen.

Smiling Unico Garage Kit 2018

The smiling Unico figure has Unico in a fun pose based on a manga chapter illustration. Sold during Wonder Festival in 2018/2019, this figure was available in an unpainted and painted version. The unpainted price for Unico was 15,000 Yen, while the painted version was 49,000 Yen.

Lifesize Unico 2019

This lifesize Unico comes with special doll eyes, a custom-made paulownia box, and an LED kit for lighting. Unico’s horn and eyes glow when turned on. Only 15 people in the world own this according to d.o.a.t.’s X/Twitter post.

Price 150,000 Yen to 180,000 Yen.

Standard Unico Garage Kit 2020

This Unico figure was also available during Wonder Festival in both painted and unpainted versions. It features another well-known pose of Unico with him standing and looking toward you. He’s around 150 mm in height.

Unpainted version of Unico was 16,000 Yen, while the pre-painted was 180,000 Yen.
