First Appeared: Spider is a unique character created by Osamu Tezuka and his siblings while drawing as children. It’s uncertain when he first appeared, as it was before even Astor Boy came to be.
Spider (スパイダー Supaidaa) is a silly little guy that appears in several of Osamu Tezuka’s works, including Unico.
Physical Appearance
Spider is a short man wearing black with brown shoes. He’s bald, has a large nose, and a single hair on his head.
Personality
Spider is often playing comedic roles or simply appearing in the background. Hiroshi, Tezuka’s brother, came up with the character’s name while Spider’s catchphrase ‘Omukae de gonsu’ (おむかえでごんす), or ‘I’m here to pick you up,’ was Minako’s (Tezuka’s sister) idea.
