Tezuka Osamu Character Mejirushi Accesories Available Soon!

Didn’t think I’d be making a post on the first day of September, did you?

Announced on the Japan Capsule Toy X/Twitter post, a set of five Tezuka characters will be available this month. The characters included will be Pinoko, Atom, Leo, Unico, and Hyoutantsugi. But what are mejirushi accessories? These items help identify or “mark” your belongings in a stylish way. Say you have a bag, water bottle, or umbrella that looks similar to everyone else’s. To prevent mix-ups, you want to show others it’s yours by maybe adding a cute accessory. Well, these accessories serve this purpose. They come with a lobster clasp, but there is also a silicone ring (or wakka) that can attach to your belongings. The silicon is soft, so it can stretch over certain types of belongings like umbrella handles if there is nowhere to actually attach the accessory.

These items are produced by Bandai and will be sold at gashapon (capsule) machines in Japan. It will cost around 300 yen per item.
