Awesome news! A collection of works from several of Osamu Tezuka’s series will be published this coming February. The book includes several grade school versions of Tezuka’s works like Astro Boy, Jungle Emperor Leo, Unico, and many other adorable characters he’s created over the years.
Several of these works have not been published in book form and are a rare treat for any fan of Osamu Tezuka. Many of these manga were originally in vivid color, but cost issues led to their publication in black and white or prevented their publication entirely. The website states this book also includes newly discovered manuscripts and additional pinups from these popular series. While we don’t know the list of what comics are included in this book, it’s certainly exciting to see that a collection like this is finally being available to fans.
