With Halloween coming up, I wanted to create something special for fans. Not only did I want to make a printable design, but I also wanted it to be something all fans could have fun with. Something you could color and cut out.
I looked around at a lot of craft sites to come up with ideas. Many sites had these “surprise cards” in a variety of holiday designs that I thought, “hey, why not create a Unico one!” If you follow the My Unico Fans Instagram page, you might have seen a sneak peek, and if not… no worries! You want the finished piece anyway!
Below you’ll find the printable, and a how to guide. Enjoy!
Instructions:
Step 1:
Download and/or print the file. It’s meant to be printed on regular printer paper, so it should be big enough.
Step 2:
Color the cards! Use whatever type of medium you’d like. Crayons, markers, color pencils, etc. I used a mixture of daughters’ color pencils and markers for mine.
Step 3:
Cut out the cards. Simply cut along the black line until you’ve freed Unico and Chloe.
Step 4:
Next, fold the cutout in half “hamburger style.” (Do they even say that anymore?)
Step 5:
After you’ve folded it in half, unfold the card and fold back the dotted lined areas on the top and bottom. You want the pumpkin areas to bend back.
Step 6:
Now that you’ve folded everything, connect the pumpkin folds to each other. The image now looks like a neat little pumpkin!
Step 7:
Pull the pumpkins apart and you’ll see a surprise! Yay!
