Site Updates: July 2026

Wow! What a month!

Unico: Lost was released earlier this month and boy oh boy was that a fun read. Very jam packed with characters, lore, and much more. The latest volume appeared on US Today’s Best-Selling Booklist, and Publisher’s Weekly Best Seller list. It also hit Best Seller status on Amazon’s Best Selling Children’s Manga category. Hooray! Congrats to everyone involved with the series! I’ve been slow, but I’ll have my own review up soon.

I also wanted to remind fans where they can follow Samuel Sattin and learn about future events he’ll be at for 2026. There are two places, one being his official website, and the other being on Instagram. Here are the links below:

My Unico Fans had its fifth anniversary, which is pretty crazy to me. It doesn’t feel like five years have gone by, but it certainly has. My goal is to keep working on the site for as long as I can, so hopefully you all continue to stop by!

And speaking of updates, August will be a busy month for me, so I’m taking a break from updating the site to catch up on a bunch of editing and writing. My daughters are going back to school as well, so it will be a little crazy juggling everything. If there is any news in August, I’ll still update the site, of course.

– Added Unico: Bortkommet, the Norwegian edition of Unico: Lost. This is scheduled to release around August 4, 2026.

– Added several pages to the International section. There were placeholders for languages, but I hadn’t made the time to work on those pages. Now the Danish, Dutch, Hebrew, Norwegian, Portuguese, Swedish, and Turkish pages are up. Other language versions were also updated to show information on the Unico: Awakening series releases as well.

– Updated the Scholastic Graphix Unico Publications page with the title of the fourth volume of the Unico: Awakening series.

– Added characters to the Scholastic Manga Characters page for Unico: Lost. More will be up soon!

– Added more interviews with Samuel Sattin in the Unico: Awakening Interviews page. (Let me know if I missed any!)

– Fixed broken links and other minor things around the site.

– Finally added the 1984 Shogaku Ichinensei Unico Calendar to the Calendar page.

– Added the 1976 Tezuka Osamu Calendar because there is a unicorn that appears in July that looks oddly similar to Unico, but with different features. This calendar would have been out before Osamu Tezuka came up with Unico’s design, but I wanted to add it because it’s hilarious and interesting. Definitely check it out! Thank you to Tezuka Archive for bringing it to my attention.
